The Florida Alliance Girls continue to gain successes this month of January 2023. The 10U Tier 1 team took 3rd place at the NGHL Winter Classic. The 12U Tier 2 were the finalist in December and now a Championship title at the same NGHL Winter Classic. We continued on to the 2023 RUSH Florida where the 12U Tier 1 and 19U Tier 2 Teams were champions for the weekend. What a great turn out and a tournament that continue to gain the best teams in the country to compete in the sunshine state.
For the first time in Pee-Wee Quebec’s 63 years of hosting the largest Pee-Wee event in the world, the girls 12U Tier 1 team was selected as one of 12 girls teams to compete for the first time in the tournament’s inaugural girl’s bracket. They head to Quebec next month.
We continue to sign Alliance girls to NCAA and ACHA girls Ice Hockey programs. We are proud to announce this month Tristina Doyle has signed with Norwich, joining Alexis Fitzsimmons. Bryn Prier has committed to Quinnipiac. We wish both of them the best for next season. This brings our total of commits in our 5 year history to 20 girls that have now continued their hockey career into college. More announcements are to be released in the next couple weeks…
The Florida Alliance Girls Hockey program is proud to announce the tryout schedule for the 2023-24 season. We will have tryouts for 12U to 19U the weekend of April 7-8, 2023 at AdventHealth Center Ice in Wesley Chapel, FL. Like last year, the 10U teams tryouts will follow a couple weeks later.
