Dr. Lorenda Beuker is a goaltending expert with coaching experience amassed from international playing experience, NCAA collegiate coaching, and academic study in both sports science and sports performance. Lorenda is from Saskatchewan, Canada and played for Team Canada in the 1999 Three Nations Cup (now the Four Nations Cup) and debuted with Team Canada playing in the 1999 U22 Christmas Cup in Germany. Lorenda trained as a high performance athlete under Team Canada coaches at the Calgary Olympic Oval while obtaining her undergraduate degree at the University of Calgary in Kinesiology. She took on a coaching role after her playing career, coaching at Princeton University and St. Lawrence University. Lorenda pursued her Master of Business Administration at Clarkson University while initiating her entrepreneurship ventures in business consulting. Lorenda completed her terminal degree, Doctor of Education in Sports Management, with research on junior executive membership marketing for private golf courses. Dr. Beuker is currently an online lecturer for State University of New York at Canton, NY and Keiser University (West Palm Beach, FL) teaching courses in Sports Management and Health & Human Performance. Lorenda now resides in Juno Beach, FL and became a US citizen after residing in the US since 2000. Lorenda has now jumped into working with USA Hockey as a Goalie Development Leader and Athlete Development Coach for the Florida Alliance Girls U12,U14, U16, U19 teams. Lorenda was a key founder in developing the Florida Alliance girls programs from their initiation in 2018. Dr. Beuker is the author of Goalies Rule the World, which is a positioning and mindset framework for goalies to isolate key areas for puck stopping ease and consistency. Lorenda also works with individual athletes on sports psychology for peak performance.
