Samantha (“Sammy”) Faatz is a forward on the 2024-2025 Florida Alliance 19U Girls Tier I team. An all-around player, her strengths lie in her ability to battle in the boards and make plays. She believes in the team above all else, is extremely coachable, and strives to be better every day. She has served as her team’s alternate captain (2021-2022 season) and made appearances at the USA Hockey National Championship twice (2021-2022 season with Florida Alliance 16U Tier II and 2022-2023 season with Florida Aliance 16U Tier 1). Her team won the 16U Tier I Southeastern District Championship in the 2022-2023 season. An ’06, Samantha enters her senior year of high school in the fall of 2023. She is academically strong with a GPA of 4.77 and has been recognized on the Principal’s list multiple times for her academic achievement. She plans to major in Exercise Science in college. When she is not playing hockey, Samantha can be found working out at the gym, working at the local ice cream shop, volunteering at the Refuge Church Summer Camp as a counselor, or serving as a student coach for the Florida Warriors Girls hockey team. She is also an avid boater, enjoys running track, hanging out with friends and playing with her black lab puppy.
