
The FL Alliance U19 Girls faced a tough test over the weekend, matching up against the #11 ranked Pittsburgh Penguins Elite U19 team in a highly competitive series as they continue preparations for the upcoming SE District Tournament in March.
Alliance opened the weekend with a hard-fought 4–2 loss in the first matchup, battling a strong Penguins squad in a game that remained tight throughout. The team quickly regrouped and responded later that day with an impressive 2–1 victory, showcasing resilience and determination.
Goaltender Margo Cordahi stood tall in the win, delivering an outstanding performance between the pipes and earning player of the game honors for her efforts.
The third and final game of the weekend went to Pittsburgh, but Alliance once again showed their competitiveness, staying strong throughout and continuing to build momentum against top-level competition.
