The 19U AAA Florida Alliance Girls went undefeated this tournament to win the CCM Windy City Elite Tournament. The girls beat Team Illinois 5-0, Gilmour Academy 2-1, FH Little Caesars 7-1, in the semi final vs MN Ice Cougars 5-1 and to win 3-1 vs Gilmour Academy in the Final.
The 14U AAA and 12U AA Florida Alliance Girls took 2nd Place in their respective divisions. The 14U AAA went 4-2 with victories over St Louis Lady Blues, Belle Tire White, LA Lions, and Anchorage NorthStars. The 14U AAA lost in the Finals to Chicago Mission 1-5. The 12U AA went 4-1 with wins over Chicago Hawks, Alaska All-Stars, Northshore Warhawks, and Chicago Hawks in the Semi’s, losing to Naperville Sabres 1-2 in the Finals.
In all, 7 teams from the Florida Alliance participated. The 16U AAA and 14U AA went 1-3-1 and 1-3 respectively with the 19U AA going 0-4 with very tough competition as girls hockey grows in both quality of play and new teams competing. Thank you Chicago for a great weekend.
